LEGS è una collana di monografie scientifiche peer-reviewed di linguistica teorica e applicata relative all’acquisizione, all’uso e alla perdita del linguaggio in condizioni di sviluppo tipico o atipico. La caratteristica principale della collana è che i titoli sono pubblicati su piattaforma web e sono disponibili ad accesso libero.
LEGS pubblica in italiano e in inglese ed è la prima e unica collana italiana che propone esclusivamente ricerche sperimentali sul linguaggio, sulla sua acquisizione e sul suo insegnamento. La modalità ad accesso libero permette ai ricercatori di condividere metodologie d’avanguardia e di diffondere i risultati presso la comunità scientifica in modo rapido e a costi contenuti. La qualità accademica dei titoli è garantita dalla modalità peer-review e dal lavoro del comitato scientifico. La combinazione di questi fattori assicura che solo la ricerca di alta qualità venga pubblicata, a prescindere dall’affiliazione dell’autore e dal peso della sua posizione accademica.

LEGS is a series of peer-reviewed monographs devoted to theoretical and applied linguistics and to language acquisition studies relative to typical and atypical-development learners. The main feature of the series is that it publishes only peer-reviewed experimental research in an open access web-based platform. The series publishes either in English or Italian.LEGS is the first and only series of monographs in Italy that publishes exclusively experimental, theoretical and developmental research. The open-access modality allows researchers to share cutting-edge methodology and to spread findings within the scientific community faster. The academic quality of publications is not undermined by the choice of the open-access modality. The scientific committee of the series is composed by internationally acknowledged specialists in the field. The peer-review procedure guarantees that only highest-quality research is published, regardless of authors' affiliation, record and academic position.
